Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 21, 2026 · Last updated: September 21, 2026 · Version 1.0

SOCIALCOIN LLC ("SocialCoin", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information of users in the United States when you use the SocialCoin mobile application (the "App"), our website getsocialcoin.com and related subdomains (the "Site"), and any related services (together, the "Service"). This Policy also serves as our notice at collection under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA").

By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. This Policy applies to users located in the United States. It does not describe our practices under the EU/UK GDPR or other non-U.S. laws; if we make the Service available in other countries, we will provide a separate notice for those users.

1. Who we are

The entity responsible for your personal information is SOCIALCOIN LLC, 5830 E 2nd St, Ste 7000 #38341, Casper, WY 82609, United States. Privacy contact: help@getsocialcoin.com. SocialCoin is a shopping companion that helps people discover real discount codes shared by creators while shopping online, and enables creators to share their own discount code and earn a commission.

2. Summary

We collect the minimum we need: mainly your email to sign you in, your subscription status from our payment processor, and limited app-usage and device data. We use no third-party advertising networks and no third-party analytics or crash-reporting services. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can delete your account and data yourself in the App at any time. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the Service. This summary is for convenience only; the full Policy governs.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide

Account information: your email address (used for passwordless "magic-link" sign-in) and, optionally, a display name. Creator profile (optional): if you become a creator, the profile photo, social handle/links, display name, profile details you upload, and your discount code. Communications: the content of messages you send us (support requests, feedback) and our responses.

Transaction information

When you subscribe, Stripe processes your payment. We do not receive or store your full payment card number, CVV, or bank account details -- Stripe does. We receive your subscription status (e.g., trialing, active, past due, canceled), plan, currency, a customer/transaction reference, and the market/region associated with your purchase. For creators, information needed to pay commissions is collected and processed by Stripe.

Information collected automatically

Device and session data: an identifier for each device signed in to your account and basic device information, so you can view and manage active sessions and we can secure your account. Push notification token: if you enable notifications, a token used to deliver them. Log and technical data: our servers automatically record technical information such as IP address, timestamps, and error logs for security, fraud prevention, and to operate the Service. Usage data: limited information about how you use the App, such as codes you view, reveal, or favorite.

Information stored only on your device

Some information is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless required to deliver a feature you request: your search history, your favorites, a locally generated referral identifier, and a device-local copy of your display name. You can clear this data by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.

Information we do NOT collect

We do not collect precise geolocation, biometric information, or sensitive personal information as defined by the CCPA (such as government IDs, precise location, race, religion, health, or the contents of your communications with others). We do not buy information from third-party data brokers to build advertising profiles.

4. How we use your information

We use personal information to: provide the Service (create and authenticate your account, display codes, favorites, and creator profiles); process subscriptions and grant access to paid features, and for creators calculate and pay commissions; send service messages you need (sign-in codes, account, subscription, security, and support emails) and push notifications if you enable them; provide customer support; detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues, and manage signed-in devices; maintain and improve the Service using our own data (not third-party analytics); and comply with applicable laws and enforce our agreements. We will not use your personal information for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing you notice.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share information only with vendors who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only to provide services to us:

Service providerWhat they do
SupabaseApplication backend, database, authentication (hosting)
StripePayment and subscription processing; creator payouts
ExpoPush-notification delivery
ResendSending transactional emails (sign-in codes, account, support)
Apple / GoogleApp distribution; for U.S. users, reporting of purchases made via external payment links as required by their developer programs

Our service providers are contractually restricted from using your information for their own purposes. We may also disclose personal information to comply with law, legal process, or lawful government requests; to enforce our agreements; to detect, prevent, or address fraud or security issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SocialCoin, our users, or the public. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, and we will notify you of any resulting change to this Policy.

Publicly visible information: if you set up a creator profile, information you choose to make public (display name, profile photo, social handle, discount code) may be visible to other users. Do not include information you do not want to be public. The Service may link to third-party sites (brands, creators' social media, our payment processor's checkout); this Policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for their practices.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use only strictly necessary technologies and no tracking or analytics. The App uses local device storage to keep you signed in and to store the device-local data described above; it uses no advertising or analytics trackers. The Site uses only strictly necessary cookies and similar technologies to operate essential functions such as sign-in, security, and completing checkout through our payment processor; it uses no advertising or analytics cookies. Because we do not track users across third-party websites for advertising, "Do Not Track" browser signals do not change our practices. If we introduce any analytics or non-essential cookies in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required, obtain consent.

7. Email and communications

We send transactional and service emails (sign-in codes, subscription notices, security alerts, support replies) that are necessary to provide the Service. Any non-essential message includes an unsubscribe mechanism, consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act. You cannot opt out of essential transactional messages while you maintain an account. We do not send marketing text messages (SMS).

8. Data retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary: account data while your account is active; subscription and transaction records for the period required by tax, accounting, and legal obligations (typically several years), even after account deletion; support communications for a reasonable period; and log/security data for a limited period. Device-local data remains on your device until you clear the App's data or uninstall it. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

9. Your privacy rights

Everyone: you can delete your account and associated personal data directly in the App (Settings → Delete account), or email us. You can request access to or correction of your information by email. You can turn push notifications off in your device settings at any time.

Residents of other U.S. states

If you reside in a state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and others as they take effect), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, "sale" of personal data, and certain profiling. If we decline a request and your state provides an appeal right, you may appeal by emailing us with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line; if denied, you may contact your state Attorney General.

Financial incentives: our discounts, referral codes, and creator commissions are part of how the Service works and are not conditioned on your sale or provision of personal information beyond what is needed to operate those features. California "Shine the Light": we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account access secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable authorities as required by law.

11. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Creating an account or using the App generally requires you to be at least 13, and subscribing or making purchases requires you to be at least 18 (or the age of majority in your state). If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact help@getsocialcoin.com and we will delete it. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

12. Where your information is processed

We are a U.S. company, but our infrastructure is primarily hosted in the European Union, and some providers (for example, Stripe) may process data in the United States. Regardless of where data is processed, we require appropriate contractual and technical safeguards. By using the Service, you understand your information may be processed in these locations.

13. Automated decision-making

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you.

14. Third-party payment and platform terms

Payments and, where applicable, external purchase links are handled in accordance with the terms of Stripe, Apple, and Google. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective privacy policies and terms.

15. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and version above and provide additional notice where appropriate (in the App or by email). Changes are effective when posted unless stated otherwise. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

16. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and the applicable laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Additional terms governing your use of the Service, including dispute resolution, are set out in our Terms of Service.
