Signing in to the app works via a one-time email code only (no passwords). We process only your email address for this. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of a contract).
To prevent misuse, a subscription is limited to two devices. We store a randomly generated device ID (not derived from your hardware) along with when it was first and last seen. You can view and remove your registered devices at any time in the app settings. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Payments are processed entirely through our payment provider Stripe, Inc. (USA). Your payment details (card number etc.) are handled solely by Stripe and are never seen or stored by us. We only store your Stripe customer/subscription identifiers, subscription status, and the email needed to match your account. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Since Stripe processes data in the US, transfers rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Our referral program initially uses an anonymous, device-generated identifier linked to a referral code. Once you sign in with your email, this identifier is linked to your account. Referrer and referee emails are never directly linked to each other. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
If you use our support chat, your messages are sent to Anthropic PBC (USA) as an AI processor to generate a response, and stored together with your contact email so we can track the conversation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in functioning support). Transfers to the US rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
If you apply as an influencer, we process the data you provide (name, platform, social handle, offered codes, and — if applicable — your profile photo and consent to use it). Brand suggestions can be submitted anonymously with no personal data. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) or (b) GDPR.
This website uses Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics service by Vercel Inc. (USA) that does not build personal profiles and sets no cookies. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in understanding site usage).
Our database is hosted with Supabase in an EU data center (Frankfurt, Germany).
We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law. Subscription and payment records are retained per applicable commercial/tax retention periods.
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict processing of your data, as well as data portability and objection. Full self-service account deletion isn't available in the app yet — please email help@getsocialcoin.com and we'll process your deletion request promptly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
